About this Role

Director of Academic Operations reporting to the Executive Director of MNBC's Ministry of STEPS, responsible for strategic and operational leadership of a Métis-led College. The role oversees governance, policy development, academic program implementation, staff management, and stakeholder partnerships to launch, grow, and sustain the institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead establishment and ongoing operations of the College aligned with MNBC strategic priorities and governance
  • Oversee implementation of College Business Plan and lead day-to-day operations including staff recruitment and supervision
  • Lead development and implementation of academic and continuing education programs meeting provincial/federal funding requirements
  • Develop, implement, and review college policies, procedures, and standards for regulatory compliance
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with governments, post-secondary institutions, Métis organizations, and employers
