Full-time Mechanic position with the Town of Huntsville reporting to the Yard/Fleet Administrator. Responsible for mechanical maintenance and repairs on Town-owned vehicles and equipment, including welding and hydraulic repairs, and scheduling of maintenance work.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct mechanical maintenance and repairs on Town-owned vehicles and equipment
Perform welding and hydraulic repairs
Oversee and schedule vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs
Work independently and as part of a team
Participate in physical labour aspects of operations
Qualifications
Secondary School Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Valid Ontario Truck and Coach Service Technician Certificate (310T)
Valid Ontario Automotive Service Technician Certificate (310S)
Minimum four (4) years of related experience including diesel powered equipment
Knowledge of vehicle and truck maintenance, heavy equipment maintenance, basic welding and fabrication, and mechanic shop operation
