Part-time contract position (4 months) reporting to the Lead Hand – Outdoor Education. The Outdoor Program Facilitator will implement and facilitate nature education and recreation programs at Cold Creek and other township locations, including Challenge Course facilitation for school and community groups.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and facilitate Cold Creek nature education and recreation programs, including Challenge Course facilitation
Facilitate pre-registered programs at offsite park/trail locations and in-school locations
Assist in set-up, tear down and clean-up of program equipment, buildings and supplies
Ensure health, safety, and departmental policies and procedures are followed
Respond to inquiries from parents, guardians, participants, staff and the public
Qualifications
Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C, WHMIS, and High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD)
Strong leadership skills and excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with ability to communicate with all levels of staff and the public
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and unquestionable integrity
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and submit vulnerable sector screening
