About this Role

Part-time Assistant Instructor position in Aquatics reporting to the Supervisor of Aquatics and Recreation Programs. Assists in delivering Lifesaving Society swim programs for various age groups and provides support to instructors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in instruction of Lifesaving Society Swim programs (Preschool, Parent and Tot, Youth and Adult)
  • Assist instructor in delivery of swim lessons
  • Assist in evaluating candidates
  • Address questions and concerns from parents
  • Set up and clean deck and pool before and after instruction periods

Qualifications

  • Lifesaving Assistant Water Safety Instructor Certificate
  • Bronze Cross Certificate or National Lifeguard
  • Standard First Aid and CPR-C
  • Excellent physical condition
  • Ability to pleasantly deal with the public

Position Details

Part-time, unionized (C.U.P.E., Local 1146 - Inside/Part-time Unit)
Not to exceed 48 hours in a two-week period
Starting date: As soon as possible
Location: Woodstock, Ontario
Qualifications must remain current within two years of certification date
