About this Role
Project Manager to lead the City of Beaumont's capital infrastructure program from planning through completion. Reports to Manager of Infrastructure Project Design & Delivery and manages diverse municipal projects including transportation, utilities, facilities, and drainage while ensuring safe, on-schedule, on-budget delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead project planning, schedule development, and coordination meetings; develop scopes, budgets, schedules, risk assessments, and business cases
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identify variances, and provide financial reporting
Manage consultants, contractors, and project teams; prepare tender documents and support procurement
Monitor project progress, establish performance measures, manage scope/schedule/quality/cost, and provide status reports
Coordinate project inspections, commissioning, record drawings, and asset turnover; ensure compliance with legislation and regulations
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum five (5) years progressive project management experience leading complex infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of project management principles, procurement practices, contract administration, and construction management
Experience managing municipal infrastructure projects (transportation, drainage, open space, utility, facility, or land development) preferred
Knowledge of applicable municipal, provincial, and regulatory requirements
Position Details
35-hour work week; some evening and weekend work may be required
