Part-time contract role patrolling an ice skating facility. Skate Patrol monitors skater safety, manages facility access, maintains equipment, and assists the public while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patrons, communicate skating schedules and facility policies
Verify participant admission to the ice
Monitor and control skater flow and speed, demonstrate safe skating etiquette
Set up and store ice sledges for public use
Document accidents and incidents; address customer concerns and escalate as needed
Qualifications
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12)
Standard First Aid with CPR C and WHIMS certification/training
Proficient skating abilities including forwards, backwards, crossovers, and confident stops
Effective communication skills to address on-ice concerns
Capacity to stand and skate for extended periods in cold environment
