About this Role
Temporary part-time dance instructor reporting to the Program Coordinator, responsible for planning and leading recreational dance programs (ballet, hip hop, tap, jazz, acro) for preschool and child/youth participants in Oshawa.
Key Responsibilities
Develop progressive lesson plans specific to group abilities
Demonstrate, instruct, and lead participants through specific dance skills
Supervise and evaluate participant progress
Choreograph end-of-program performances
Administer first aid, complete incident reports, and maintain attendance records
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 11 education
Five years' experience participating in the related dance genre
One year experience instructing/coaching in the related dance genre
Intermediate/Standard First Aid/CPR 'C' qualifications
Good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
Position Details
Up to 24 weekly hours
Shift work required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
