About this Role
Temporary part-time specialized dance instructor reporting to the Program Coordinator to plan, organize, lead and supervise formal recreational dance programs for adults in genres such as Social Ballroom, Egyptian Belly Dance, Zumba, and Country Line Dance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop progressive lesson plans specific to group abilities
Demonstrate, instruct and lead participants through specific skills
Supervise and evaluate participant progress
Choreograph dances
Administer first aid and complete incident/complaint reports
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 education
Five (5) years' experience participating in the related dance genre
One (1) year experience instructing/coaching in the related dance genre
Current Intermediate/Standard First Aid/CPR 'C' qualifications
Good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
