Key Responsibilities
Plan, implement and facilitate adaptive programs for participants with disabilities
Provide one-to-one inclusion support and assist Inclusion Support Instructors as needed
Complete participant observations citywide and suggest integration strategies
Create resources such as communication boards and visual schedules
Maintain safety and provide physical assistance with lifts, transfers, and personal care needs
Qualifications
Completed education or current enrollment in related field (Educational Assistant, Nursing, Recreation and Leisure Studies, Teacher, Therapeutic Recreation) is an asset
Experience supporting children and youth with diverse physical, cognitive, developmental, behavioral, sensory, and communication needs
Intermediate/Standard First Aid & CPR 'C' qualifications (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
Strong customer service and communication skills with ability to work effectively with staff and public
Ability to provide own transportation for travel between work locations
