Key Responsibilities

Deck supervision and lesson supervision
Ensure pool and changeroom areas are clean, safe and well maintained
Supervise and support full-time, part-time and auxiliary lifeguards, instructors, and recreation attendants
Conduct swimming lessons, lifeguarding and safety training programs
Plan, organize and promote aquatic programs and special events

Qualifications

Grade 12 completion
Courses in lifesaving, lifeguarding, aquatics instruction and pool operation and maintenance
Sound related experience including some supervisory experience
Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification
Lifesaving Society Lifesaving Instructor, National Lifeguard - Pool Award, and Standard First Aid

Position Details

Regular full-time position

80 hours bi-weekly; Monday 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM, Thursday 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM, Friday to Sunday 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM

Location: Eileen Dailly Pool, Burnaby

CUPE 23 Inside Division Collective Agreement applies
