Attendant I – Facilities position with King Township reporting to Lead Hand – Facilities. Role involves janitorial and grounds maintenance tasks, facility operation and care, public liaison, event setup/takedown, and participant supervision in indoor arena and recreation environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe and tidy spaces through janitorial tasks and equipment setup/takedown/storage
  • Maintain facility, grounds, equipment, and amenities including litter removal, snow/ice removal, floor washing, window cleaning, washroom cleaning, and garbage emptying
  • Operate, maintain, and care for tools and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Liaise with public regarding facility information and room rental arrangements
  • Supervise participants, ensure safety, and maintain program rules and inclusive environment

Qualifications

  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C, or ability to obtain within one (1) month of onboarding
  • Good problem solving, communication and organizational skills
  • Effective customer service skills to work with user groups, participants, and the public
  • Ability to work independently or as a team
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
