Temporary full-time CPIC Operator - Clerk position in the Police department performing operational and clerical work related to Canadian Police Information Centers, including data entry into police records systems. The role operates with minimal direct supervision after on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities
Process operational and clerical assignments related to CPIC information provision and receipt
Enter information into Police Records Information Management Environment Systems
Perform clerical and record-keeping work with independent judgment on routine aspects
Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts such as court officials and police detachments
Qualifications
Grade 12 completion including or supplemented by word processing, commercial, PRIME and/or CPIC operator courses
Some clerical-typing experience, preferably in Police Department
Sound knowledge of CPIC and police software systems operation, rules, regulations, and policies
Ability to memorize applicable system codes and procedures
RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance (to be obtained and maintained)
Position Details
Schedule: 70 hours bi-weekly; Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM (Nine-Day Fortnight)
Temporary full-time until April 2, 2027
