The Township of St. Clair seeks a permanent full-time Engineering Technologist to support the Public Works/Engineering Department in reviewing, approving, and inspecting development and capital works for subdivisions, highways, pipelines, and utilities, while assisting with industrial development and planning applications.
Key Responsibilities
Operating CAD system and preparing technical documents
Conducting preliminary field surveys and field inspections
Ensuring contractor adherence to regulations and municipal policy
Maintaining technical records and supporting technical studies
Supporting industrial development and planning applications
Qualifications
Post-secondary diploma from recognized college in Engineering Technology (3-year program) or equivalent education/training/experience
Class 1 Water Distribution System Operator License
Knowledge of road, sewer, and watermain inspection and design courses
Membership or eligibility for OACETT (Certified Engineering Technician, preferably Civil)
Experience with infrastructure management, modeling, CAD, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
