Key Responsibilities
Track, receive, issue and store weapons and police equipment
Ensure equipment is in working order and examine for quality control purposes
Conduct minor repairs and identify malfunctioning equipment
Prepare equipment kits for members
Prepare and maintain records, files and reports
Qualifications
Completion of grade 12, supplemented by courses related to the work, plus sound related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
Sound knowledge of various types and use of weapons and police equipment required by RCMP members
Knowledge of safety regulations for handling weapons and police equipment
Ability to use spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment
Position Details
Schedule: 70 hours bi-weekly; Wednesday to Sunday 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (or by mutual agreement Monday to Sunday 4:30 AM – 8:00 PM)
Regular Full Time position
Subject to Note 'S' of Schedule 'B' of CUPE 23 Inside Division Collective Agreement
BC Driver's Licence required
Enhanced RCMP Security Clearance required
