Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and create personalized workout programs
  • Provide fitness expertise and guidance on weight training
  • Determine fitness levels and develop individual fitness programs
  • Ensure equipment is safe, clean, and properly maintained
  • Respond to client questions and provide health/fitness referral services

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12
  • BC Recreation and Parks Association Fitness Theory and Weight Training certification
  • Sound knowledge of weight training principles, practices, and equipment types
  • Ability to develop individual fitness programs and provide fitness guidance
  • First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Level C certifications required

At a glance

Auxiliary position with variable hours based on operational requirements

Typical shifts range Monday to Sunday, 6:00am to 10:00pm
