16-week summer position (June 4 – September 23, 2026) maintaining Town of Torbay municipal buildings, open spaces, playfields, playgrounds, splash pad, and equipment. Responsible for facility setup and general upkeep of Town-owned recreational and infrastructure assets.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain all Town-owned buildings, including cleaning and housekeeping at Torbay Common Building
Monitor and maintain Town-owned open space sites, playfields, and playgrounds
Monitor and maintain the Splash Pad and associated equipment
Perform facility setup for rentals, programs, and special events
Maintain clean, organized, and safe working environment
Qualifications
Experience in parks maintenance and indoor recreation facility maintenance
Class 5 driver's license
Canadian playground inspector certification
Pool operator certification and first aid certification including AED and CPR level C
Capability to safely operate landscaping equipment and trucks with trailers
