Key Responsibilities
Direct future development by completing Development Charges Background Studies, Secondary Studies, and Municipal Class Environmental Assessments
Oversee development by reviewing and approving Draft Plan of Subdivision applications and ensuring compliance with engineering standards
Complete special projects, prepare capital budgets for growth-related projects, and act as Project Manager and Construction Administrator
Develop capital budgets for streetlights, former landfill properties, and SWM facilities; mentor Development Engineer
Manage growth-related capital projects including planning, budgeting, design, tendering, construction administration, and project closeout
Qualifications
University Degree in Civil Engineering and P. Eng. designation
Minimum 3-5 years closely related municipal engineering experience
Proficient computer skills and technical proficiency
Excellent communication and public relations skills with ability to explain technical data to non-technical audience
Working knowledge of planning processes and contract administration
