Contract position (12 months) with King Township reporting to multiple supervisors. The Parks/Road Worker maintains municipal parks, facilities, and roads, including winter maintenance, snow clearing, equipment operation, and general landscaping and infrastructure repairs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct day-to-day maintenance, operation and inspections of parks, trails, playgrounds, and Township-owned lands
Perform grass cutting, turf maintenance, tree maintenance, and winter plowing of facilities and walkways
Operate heavy equipment (backhoe, wheel loader, plow trucks, pickup trucks) for winter road maintenance and snow removal
Conduct road patrols to assess surface conditions and perform pothole repairs, gravel maintenance, and sign repairs
Maintain accurate records and logs of all maintenance work performed
Qualifications
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
Minimum two years relevant work experience
Valid class D driver's license with airbrake Z endorsement
Current First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS/GHS training
Heavy Equipment Operator training or experience
