Personal Support Worker providing resident care as part of the nursing team at Strathmere Lodge under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse. This is a permanent part-time, relief/on-call position with shifts across three time blocks, requiring availability for weekdays, weekends, statutory holidays, and short-notice call-ins.
Key Responsibilities
Perform various aspects of resident care in accordance with Strathmere Lodge policies and procedures
Work under supervision of Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse
Respond to short notice call-ins when needed
Qualifications
Successful completion of PSW program meeting Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities requirements (minimum 600 hours), OR current RN/RPN registration with College of Nurses of Ontario, OR current enrollment in RN/RPN/PSW program, OR diploma/certificate from another jurisdiction equivalent to minimum 600 hours
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build rapport with residents and staff
Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
