The City of Burnaby is recruiting for multiple vacancies in Plan Checker 1, Plan Checker 2, and Building Technologist positions. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an Institute of Technology with a diploma in Building Technology, or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Knowledge of preparation and use of building plans and specifications
  • Ability to interpret building construction plans rapidly and accurately
  • Sound knowledge of municipal bylaws, provincial building code, regulations, building construction practices and materials
  • Valid Driver's License for the Province of British Columbia

Position Details

Auxiliary position with hours and shifts based on operational requirements; typical hours Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: City Hall, Burnaby
