The Town of Ladysmith seeks casual Program Attendants to facilitate and lead recreational activities while ensuring participant safety and enjoyment in Parks, Recreation & Culture programs and facility events. The role involves opening/closing facilities, setting up equipment, leading activities, monitoring safety, and maintaining a clean work environment under the supervision of a Recreation Programmer.
Key Responsibilities
Open and close facilities before and after activities
Set up and take down equipment for activities
Lead activities, initiate play, and organize teams as necessary
Monitor participant safety and ensure compliance with facility rules
Complete incident, accident, and first aid reports as required
Qualifications
Grade 10 education and some recent relevant experience
Valid standard 1st aid certification
Valid CPR level C certification
Satisfactory criminal record check / personal information check for vulnerable sector
Demonstrated ability to safely and effectively supervise individuals of all ages
