Part-time unionized custodian position at Southside Aquatic Centre reporting to the Manager of Aquatics. Responsible for maintaining the facility including pool maintenance, cleaning, minor repairs, snow removal, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Pool Operator with pool maintenance: skimming, vacuuming, cleaning deck, disinfecting surfaces
  • Clean washrooms, changing rooms, saunas, showers, floors, stairs, windows, walls, and ceilings
  • Perform snow removal using equipment and contact snowplows when required
  • Operate equipment including snow removal equipment, floor scrubbers, pool vacuum, power washer, and Genie boom lift
  • Handle public interactions including complaints, inquiries, and deliveries in a pleasant manner

Qualifications

  • Grade 10 education or equivalent
  • Excellent physical condition, able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Experience cleaning
  • Mechanical ability
  • WHMIS training, Ladder Safety Training, Standard First Aid with CPR-C
