About this Role

Part-time casual Recreational Services Representative position at the Torbay Common, reporting to the Director of Recreation & Community Services. The role serves as the main point of contact for residents and service providers, providing customer service for programs and services while assisting with planning and implementation of recreational programs and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering public inquiries on recreation and town programs
  • Process registration requests and facility bookings in-person, by phone, or email
  • Receive payments for facility bookings and registrations using cash, debit, and credit
  • Prepare and reconcile daily cash reports and bank deposits
  • Facilitate recreational activities and programs for participants of various age groups

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate from recognized post-secondary institution in recreation and/or office administration
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of relevant safety guidelines and emergency procedures
  • Ability to acquire RNC Certificate of Conduct including vulnerable sector check
  • Certified Standard First Aid/CPR 'C'/AED

Position Details

Part-time casual employment
Available to work 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM weekdays and weekends
Weekday, evening, and weekend shifts required
Location: Torbay Common, Torbay, Newfoundland and Labrador
