About this job
Technical position responsible for water and sewer utility operations, including maintenance of distribution and collection systems, mapping, records management, and coordination with engineering staff and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates for services and jobs
Determine sizing of water and sewer mains, services, and meters
Update and maintain mapping and system records for valves, hydrants, manholes, and services
Prepare monthly technical reports for engineering requirements
Receive and respond to customer inquiries and industry questionnaires
Qualifications
Grade XII or equivalent
Post-secondary diploma in civil/construction technology or related technical curriculum
Provincial Certification in Wastewater Collection Class II and Water Distribution Class II (or ability to complete within 12 months of hiring)
Three years technical experience in water and wastewater operations and maintenance
Valid Class 5 driver's license
